Senior Systems Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with experience interpreting customer specification documents and translating those requirements into clear requirements for developers to implement, then executing tests to validate the product using current industry techniques, standards, and processes.

This position is onsite in our Orlando office.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Review contractual documents (Specifications, Statements of Work, Technical Manuals, etc.) and recommend viable solution approaches.
• Working with a small team: plan, design, develop, test, and document complex software and hardware solutions for new products, new features, customer demonstrations, and program development.
• Conduct internal software and/or hardware testing to ensure requirements are met prior to Customer testing.
• Direct / oversee Customer acceptance test.
• Leads a small development team or actively participates as part of a development team.
• Makes innovative team contributions that improve the overall team performance and improve customer satisfaction.
• Continuously learns new concepts and becomes recognized as an expert in certain domains.

Qualifications:

• BS Degree in electrical, mechanical, software, or computer engineering.
• Thorough understanding of Systems Engineering principles.
• Experience with Department of Defense product documentation
• 7 - 10 years of experience developing software and hardware systems design

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for a substantial amount of time operating a computer terminal.
• Frequently communicates with clients, team members, etc.
• Travel is required
