JOB SUMMARY:
The Program Manager –serves as the senior leader responsible for the strategic growth, business development, capture management, and operational integration of the Calista Brice Mine Services, LLC. This position leads efforts to identify, pursue, capture, and execute business opportunities associated with the Donlin Gold project while building CBMS into a premier Alaska Native-owned mining services organization.
The Program Manager is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive business growth strategy that maximizes participation by Calista Brice subsidiaries and business units throughout the lifecycle of the Donlin Gold project and future mining and resource development opportunities. The role builds and leads a high-performing CBMS management team, facilitates cross-business-unit collaboration, and ensures alignment between customer requirements, operational capabilities, and strategic objectives.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Strategic Leadership & Program Development
- Develop and execute the long-term strategic vision for Calista Brice Mine Services and sibling subsidiaries participation in the Donlin Gold project.
- Establish and lead the Donlin Gold program and management team to support sustained growth and operational excellence.
- Create and implement annual business plans, growth objectives, revenue targets, and performance metrics.
- Identify emerging opportunities within the Donlin Gold project lifecycle, including construction, logistics, environmental services, facilities management, operations support, and related service sectors.
- Provide executive-level leadership for planning, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.
Capture Management & Business Development
- Lead all phases of the business development and capture process from opportunity identification through contract award.
- Develop and execute capture strategies for Donlin Gold-related opportunities across Calista Brice subsidiaries.
- Coordinate proposal development efforts, pricing strategies, teaming arrangements, and contract negotiations.
- Conduct market intelligence and competitive assessments to position Calista Brice Mine Services for successful contract awards.
- Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with clients, contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and industry stakeholders.
- Track opportunity pipelines and provide executive reporting on business development activities, forecasts, and capture status.
- Drive revenue growth through strategic account management and expansion of services supporting Donlin Gold.
Organizational & Team Development
- Build, mentor, and lead a multidisciplinary Donlin Gold management team.
- Facilitate coordination among Calista Brice business units and subsidiaries to create integrated solutions for customer needs.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence.
- Develop organizational structures, processes, and staffing plans necessary to support growth and project execution.
- Ensure workforce development opportunities align with shareholder and regional employment objectives.
Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary executive liaison between Calista Brice and Donlin Gold project leadership.
- Develop and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, including The Kuskokwim Corporation (TKC), Calista Corporation, village corporations throughout the Yukon-Kuskokwim region, Alaska Native organizations, Tribal governments, federal, state, and local agencies, as well as strategic partners and contractors.
- Represent Calista Brice at industry conferences, community meetings, stakeholder engagements, and business development events.
- Facilitate collaboration among stakeholders to identify mutually beneficial business opportunities and solutions.
Operational Integration & Execution
- Coordinate the delivery of services across multiple Calista Brice business units, key partner JV’s in supporting Donlin Gold initiatives.
- Ensure operational readiness and alignment of resources to support awarded contracts and projects.
- Monitor project performance, financial results, contract compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Support implementation of quality, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain governance structures that ensure effective communication and decision-making across participating organizations.
