Role Summary

The Technical Business Analyst will support the DSI platform by analyzing, documenting, and validating API and system integrations built using Java and Spring Boot. The role works closely with business stakeholders, product owners, clients, architects, and development teams to understand business needs and translate them into clear, detailed technical specifications that are delivery-ready.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and clients to understand, clarify, and refine business requirements.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications consumable by Java/Spring Boot development teams.
• Create and maintain BRD, FRD, and technical design inputs, including data flow diagrams, sequence diagrams, and flowcharts.
• Perform interface and integration analysis covering REST APIs and event-driven integrations.
• Define and document API contracts (request/response structures, field-level attributes, validations, transformations, error handling, and versioning).
• Map data fields across source systems, DSI services, databases, and downstream consumers.
• Define business rules, data validations, status transitions, and handling of edge cases, retries, and timeout scenarios.
• Support Kafka/event-based integrations by documenting topics, message formats, schemas, and processing logic.
• Act as a bridge between business, development, and QA teams by supporting development clarifications, test scenarios, sample data, and acceptance criteria.
• Assist in integration testing and UAT, ensuring implemented Java services align with documented requirements.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6–10 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst / Techno-Functional Analyst.
• Strong working knowledge of Java development and Spring Boot (REST controllers, service layers, DTOs).
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, HTTP methods, status codes, and authentication mechanisms.
• Experience with system and API integrations in microservices-based architectures.
• Familiarity with Kafka or message-based/event-driven systems.
• Ability to review, understand, and challenge technical designs and Java code.
• Strong documentation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience in BFSI / KYC / onboarding platforms.
• Exposure to service-layer data models and databases.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and environment-specific configurations.
