Raytheon is seeking an Operations and Maintenance Technician. Join a team responsible for operating and maintaining national security mission system critical infrastructure. This hands-on role offers the opportunity to troubleshoot complex equipment, solve technical challenges, and work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative, mission-focused environment. Location: Aurora, CO

What You Will Do

  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on national security mission system critical infrastructure.
  • Monitor system performance and respond to equipment anomalies, failures, and environmental impacts (such as weather-related events) to restore operational capability.
  • Maintain configuration control by accurately documenting equipment changes and verifying hardware and software baselines.
  • Support 24/7 operations as required, including rotating shifts, emergency response, and on-call assignments when necessary.
  • Safely ascend and work at heights using ladders, antenna structures, and elevated work platforms.
  • Handle equipment weighing up to 50 pounds and performing physically intensive tasks in both indoor and outdoor settings.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 2 years of prior engineering experience or equivalent experience.
  • Experience performing maintenance, operations, or field service in complex technical environments (e.g., RF systems, satellite communications, large mechanical systems, industrial equipment, or similar)
  • An active and transferable TS/SCI CI Poly U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for the required security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer  

  • Experience following Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), electrical safety, OSHA requirements, and established safety procedures
  • Experience operating hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electronic test equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, RF test equipment, or similar diagnostic tools.
  • Experience documenting maintenance activities, equipment status, troubleshooting actions, and technical records in accordance with established procedures
  • Experience working with rotating equipment, servo systems, motors, gearboxes, drive systems, or large mechanical assemblies.
