What you'll do:

The Senior Default Analyst is responsible for minimizing risk exposure by working in partnership with our subservicers, in-house Counsel, paralegals, and Servicing department. In addition, this role will provide executive reporting as well as support the entire Default Team including loss analysis, property preservation, bankruptcy, foreclosure and loss mitigation processes.

What we are looking for:

•  Monitor and analyze routine reports from subservicers to identify potential servicing gaps or opportunities for improvement
•  Collaborate with Management to provide feedback about problem areas and any conditions that may adversely affect established goals
•  Actively engage with subservicers in all Default departments - including but not limited to Loss Mitigation, REO, Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, Legal, and Collections
•  Manage title and vesting issues, including collateral issues by working with sub-servicers and custodians as necessary
•  Actively engage with various departments to resolve escalated borrower issues received by default management
•  Perform loan level review and research as necessary
•  Accountable for performing all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and state and federal laws
•  Perform other related duties as required and assigned
•  Participate in subservicers' routine communication related to open issues and all other relevant Servicing matters as appropriate

What you need to have:

•  Team player with 7+ years of mortgage default servicing experience: preferably extensive experience with loss mitigation processes, foreclosures, REO and property preservation

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent
•  Ability to interpret loan documents and correspondence is required
•  Strong business acumen and ability to interface with executive management
•  Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, mathematical skills, and sound judgment
•  Experience with FHA, VA, USDA, and Conventional loan types is required
•  Strong aptitude for strategic thinking and problem resolution; assessing, understanding, and quantifying risk
•  Self-directed ability to work independently, prioritize, and multi-task in order to maintain established standards and consistently meet deadlines
•  Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
•  Excellent organization skills
•  Paralegal certificate/degree a plus but not required
 

Compensation: Salary range for new hires is generally $84,045.00 - $98,875.00 for Westlake Village, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives earned.
