<p><span>We are looking for a talented SAP Data Solution Architect to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology for Cummins, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN or Atlanta, GA preferred, on a remote basis</span><span>.</span></p> <p><span><strong>In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: </strong></span></p> <ul> <li><span>Define system architecture by breaking down components, assigning functionality, and establishing interfaces across systems and components.</span></li> <li><span>Develop and maintain reusable standards, design patterns, and configurations as scalable building blocks.</span></li> <li><span>Partner with project and product teams to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.</span></li> <li><span>Conduct complex cost/benefit analyses to evaluate and recommend future-state capabilities.</span></li> <li><span>Lead the creation of architectural governing principles to guide enterprise-wide solution decisions and change management. </span></li> <li><span>Audit solution designs to ensure alignment with established architecture standards and patterns.</span></li> <li><span>Monitor system performance and proactively mitigate risks when introducing new capabilities.</span></li> <li><span>Collaborate with stakeholders and industry experts to shape future-state architecture, develop roadmaps, and stay current on industry trends.</span></li> </ul> <p><span><strong>To be successful in this role you will need the following: </strong></span></p><ul><li><span>Architecture System Design - Master architecture frameworks to guide your design thinking.Use modeling tools to create clear, scalable architecture diagrams.Stay aligned with enterprise goals and ensure your designs support business transformation and agility. Regularly review and update architecture artifacts to reflect evolving business needs and tech landscapes.</span></li><li><span>Solution Design - Creates and defines the solution design complete with instrumentation and measurement, using industry standards and tools, version control, and build and test automation to synthesize diagrams, models and documentation in order to build a solution that meets buildability, business, technical, security, governance and compliance requirements. </span></li><li><span>Solution Functional Fit Analysis - Break down systems into components and analyze their interactions, dependencies, and performance.Use tools to understand system relationships. Evaluate whether components are fit-for-purpose or need redesign/replacement. Focus on meeting business, technical, security, governance and compliance requirements. </span></li><li><span>Project Issue and Risk Management - Proactively identify risks during design and implementation phases. Focus on mitigation strategies and contingency planning. Communicate clearly with project managers and leadership to escalate and resolve issues.</span></li></ul> <p><span><b>Education/Experience: </b></span></p><ul><li><span>College, university, or equivalent degree in relevant technical discipline, or relevant equivalent experience required. </span></li><li><span>This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. </span></li><li><span>Significant experience in a relevant discipline area is required with a demonstrated track record of architecture and design for cloud-based platforms. Knowledge of the latest trends in emerging technologies is highly preferred and includes: </span><br/><span>- Analyzing complex business systems, industry requirements, and governance and creating solution designs from them </span><br/><span>- Proven Architecture and design experience for cloud-based platforms </span><br/><span>Significant experiences in the following are preferred: </span><br/><span>- Experience with architecting and integrating enterprise systems and data </span><br/><span>-Experience in defining and weighing the trade-offs of different solution options </span><br/><span>- Experience with IoT technology </span><br/><span>- Experience in Agile software development and DevSecOps</span></li></ul><p><span><b>Additional Responsibilities:</b></span></p><p><span>We are seeking an experienced <b>SAP Data Solution Architect</b> to lead and execute critical data activities within a large-scale SAP S/4HANA transformation program.
