About the Role
Do you have an eye for detail and a passion for developing innovation solutions? Join our team! As a Guidance, Navigation and Control Engineer, you will be using your skills and expertise to design and test algorithms, flight software, related hardware, design tools, simulations, and more for various aerospace vehicles. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to orbital and space exploration systems. You'll explore complex GN&C algorithms and systems to assess performance of vehicle flight qualities and capabilities. Your technical duties involve the design, development, evaluation, and test of new products and processes throughout the product lifecycle.Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced guidance, navigation, and control systems for aerospace vehicles.
Perform advanced simulations and analyses to validate system performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GNC systems with other subsystems.
Develop and maintain complex software for GNC algorithms and systems.
Conduct rigorous testing and troubleshooting of GNC systems to ensure reliability and performance.
Document design processes, test results, and system performance.
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing technical leadership and support.
Make high-level design decisions that impact program cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Independently contribute to the design and development of software applications, conduct unit tests, and participate in code reviews.
Drive the strategic direction of the software engineering team. \Architect and oversee the technical aspects of large-scale projects, innovate, and make decisions on the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
Support the development of technical proposals and presentations.
Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment and understanding of technical decisions.

Minimum Qualifications:
Requires bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree or master's +13 yrs experience).
Typically, 15+ years of related experience.
Extensive expertise in multiple programming languages and software development principles.
Ability to design, architect, and implement complex software systems. Strong leadership skills to lead a team of engineers.
Ability to make high-level design decisions.
Ability to drive the strategic direction of the software engineering team.
Demonstrated project leadership, strong problem-solving skills, and effective communication with nontechnical stakeholders.
Ability to architect and oversee the technical aspects of large-scale projects, innovate, and make decisions on the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
The ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Preferred Qualifications:
Possess advanced RPO & GNC technical knowledge and experience, working knowledge of industry trends and historical context
