We were founded in 2014 and joined forces with DoorDash in 2022 - of the 29 countries that DoorDash operates in today, 25 are with the Wolt product and brand.<br/> <br/>  </p><h3>Job Description</h3><p>To continue growing the company and ensure a solid foundation in each market, we need a strong team of International Expansion Managers. Thus, our Expansion team is looking for a few new team members to join this fast paced rocket ship!<br/> <br/> As an International Expansion Manager at Wolt, you’ll travel around the world to identify new markets and opportunities for Wolt to enter. Together with our Global functions, you’ll take care of everything from greenlighting the market to launching it. In this role, you’ll build a business in a new market from scratch, putting together a team and finding the work space, and getting the business up and running. Once the foundation is established, you’ll jump on to the next adventure!<br/> <br/> In this role you report to the Head of Expansion. Our HQ is located in Helsinki, but we are flexible with your home base as you will be spending most of the year abroad, and ‘living out of your suitcase’!<br/> <br/> <strong>What you’ll be doing </strong></p><ul><li>You will travel to a new market and evaluate the entry strategy, product-market fit, regulations, pricing, market</li><li>You will find and recruit a country team, together with Wolt’s Talent Acquisition function</li><li>You will on-board and train our new hires in the country team</li><li>You will work closely with the local General Manager &amp; Operations Manager to build the country operations - everything from pricing structures, courier models to hiring the rest of the team</li><li>You will establish networks with local consulting, accounting and legal firms </li><li>You will execute all tasks necessary to launch a new country ranging from setting targets to managing the project timeline</li><li>You will communicate with many different internal stakeholders across several departments such as legal, finance, tax, product, Talent Acquisition and strategy  </li><li>You will coordinate all expansion related efforts and become the glue that holds all teams together</li><li>You will help optimize the processes of a launch and our launch playbook</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><p><strong>What we’re expecting</strong></p><ul><li>Preferably experience from a team lead role in business development, strategy, commercial or operations with a solid understanding of other functions</li><li>Preferably a degree in Economics, Business Administration, Strategy or equivalent</li><li>Analytical mindset and ability to make data-driven decisions. </li><li>Ability to understand, analyze, and optimize complex businesses</li><li>Curiosity and entrepreneurship, high degree of business acumen</li><li>Love for traveling!
