Join Cedar Crest College's Global Initiatives and International Programs team as an Administrative Assistant, where you'll play a vital role in expanding global education opportunities for our students. This position offers the chance to work at the intersection of higher education and international experiences, supporting students as they embark on life-changing study abroad adventures and bringing the world to our campus. This is a part-time position, approximately 17.5 hours per week.

 What You'll Do  

 In this dynamic role, you'll serve as a key resource for students, faculty, and staff navigating global education opportunities. Your responsibilities will include: 

  •  Collects, designs, and processes, program documentation and information for independent study abroad, faculty-led study tours and the Sophomore Expedition, which includes (but is not limited to): intent forms, personal and medical information, emergency contacts, rooming lists, passport information, Code of Conduct agreements, travel insurance, flight manifests, and State Department (STEP) registration. 
  • Manages the college’s study-abroad scholarship applications, liaises with Student Financial Services, and advises on outside scholarship opportunities. 

  • Works with advisors, department chairs, and the Registrar’s office on credit equivalencies, course approvals, and transcript processing for students who plan to study abroad.  

  • Meets with students interested in studying abroad to review available programs. 

  • Creates and tracks interested student information from promotion sessions and individual meetings.  

  • Plans and delivers office programing to promote study-abroad opportunities and internationalization on campus.  

  • Supports campus-wide events such as the Study Abroad Fair and International Education Week. 

  • Collects and maintains complete, accurate and accessible digital records of assigned programs and participants to ensure that information is available and communicated as needed. 

  • Completes data reports for college records and national reporting such as Open Doors.  

  • Co-supervises student employees, ensuring effective support for office operations. 

  • Ensures that affiliation agreements with external providers are up to date and aligned with institutional policies and strategic goals. 

  • Manages the content for the Global Initiatives webpages and social media accounts and updates and/or creates forms, brochures, and other informational documents.  

  • Assist in communication with students, faculty, and staff  

  • Proficiency in college-wide software and CRM’s such as Jenzabar and Slate.  

  • Order office supplies, photocopy, and distribute interoffice and outside mail. 

  • Attends workshops and seminars for professional development. 

  • Responsible for special projects as assigned. 

Qualifications

 

What We're Looking For   

  • Bachelor's degree in applicable discipline preferred 

  • Previous experience studying, working, or living abroad preferred 

  • Prior experience handling confidential and sensitive information strongly preferred
