The Team:
The Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania’s largest tertiary referral centre. The RHH Pharmacy Compounding and Cancer Services (CCS) team are responsible for the provision of a comprehensive service including sterile and hazardous medicines compounding, clinical pharmacy service to cancer patients and clinical trials services across the Royal Hobart Hospital, including inpatient care, outpatient clinics, and high-acuity settings. The CCS team is comprised of specialist pharmacists, rotational pharmacists and technicians supported by staff in dedicated leadership roles to lead the service stream. Our pharmacy team collaborate closely with medical, nursing, and allied health teams to deliver exceptional, patient-centred, medicine-related care. The Role:
The Supervisor Pharmacist - Production works with the Pharmacy Site Manager (South) and other senior staff in the overall development and delivery of a contemporary pharmacy service to the RHH and is responsible for:
- The effective and efficient planning, coordination and utilisation of staff and resources within the Manufacturing area, under the supervision of the Pharmacy Site Manager (South).
- Providing professional leadership when training and assessing other pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in all areas of sterile and non-sterile manufacturing.
You will need:
- Extensive hospital pharmacy experience, including a minimum of 3 years’ experience in hospital pharmacy manufacturing.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, communication, negotiation and conflict resolution skills, including the ability to lead, manage and liaise with staff and other health professionals.
- Professional qualification or equivalent level of recognised professional competency or a commitment to working towards a qualification or level of competency which supports this specialist position.

Details of appointment: Allied Health Professional, Level 4
Permanent part time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Salary: $123,717 to $138,296 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022

- Professional Development Allowance of up to $1000 per annum
- A market allowance of $10,000 per annum pro rata is applicable to this role

Eligibility:
