Job Description
The Coordinator, Client Development, works closely with and supports CMI digital marketing and business development initiatives. This position reports to the Manager, Client Development, and will work closely with CMI leadership and other members of the C&M Marketing & Branding, Communications, and Client Development teams. The coordinator will support CMI’s website, client alert program, social media, digital marketing, and other related activities. This role will also provide support for a variety of communications and business development activities and projects.
Primary Areas of Responsibility
• Assists in management of the firm’s website, including updating content, providing guidance for style and tone according to firm branding, monitoring expired content, tracking client permissions for website matter descriptions, and monitoring the mobile version.
• Manages the process for updating biographies.
• Manages client alert formatting, risk review and distribution process.
• Assists in the management of analytics and reporting for website, alerts, and social media. Provides input and analysis to key stakeholders as necessary.
• Assists in optimization of website and blogs using SEO tools, ensuring website content is up-to-date and relevant.
• Assists in management of digital marketing projects and tasks using project management tracking system.
• Produces firm content using new media channels, including podcasts and videos (recording, editing, publishing, and promoting).
• Supports client alerts, blogs, podcasts and newsletters.
• Provides events management support, including attending/working live or webinar events and set-up, as well as monitoring digital promotion of events (website, social media, etc.).
• Assists in managing the firm’s social media accounts and enhancing the firm’s presence on all social media platforms.
• Posts items to the firm’s LinkedIn and Twitter accounts, as well as other applicable social media platforms and looks for opportunities to enhance the firm’s presence.
• Provides support, training, and coaching to CMI team members on use of social media and other digital branding channels.
• Serves as a first response for general marketing department requests; helps ensure general compliance with firm editorial and style guidelines.
• Help to draft responses to pitches and proposals.
• Support development of marketing collateral.
• Support execution of client development events, such as seminars and webinars.
• Supports client, market, competitor and industry research to inform business development strategies.
• Support development of agendas for meetings and prepares and circulates meeting summaries. Helps to identify and execute on next steps identified during meetings.
• Support maintaining repository of relevant business development information.
• Support entering data into various knowledge management systems, including business development tracker, experience manager and InterAction, the firm’s CRM.
