The Opportunity:
In this role, you will report to the Onsite Supervisor and will work closely with the Avantor’s Advanced Laboratory Services professionals to serve our customers by performing customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science.Location: Cambridge, MAShift: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PMOvertime: Occasional and voluntaryHourly Rate: $22.00 - $23.00Benefits:- Health and Wellness: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Wellness programs

- Education: High school diploma required; science-related degree preferred
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of inventory or laboratory experience
- Intermediate computer skills; proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Excel
- Ability to learn and use inventory software (e.g., Avantor Inventory Manager)
- Lab experience is helpful but not required
- Strong attention to detail and good hearing
- Ability to lift 50 lbs, walk up/downstairs, bend, twist, and lift regularly
- Use handheld scanners to scan barcoded labels
- Evaluate on-hand product quantities and scan POU (Point of Use) locations
- Enter data into inventory software to generate reports
- Replenish stock by picking and placing items in empty locations
- Trace out-of-stock items and communicate backorder alternatives to customers
- Deliver items to various campus floors
- Perform full-cycle audits of POU locations weekly
- Handle flammable and hazardous materials, ensuring proper labeling and storage per safety regulations
- Complete safety training for chemical reagent handling
- Cross-train in other departments and cover for absent associates as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned.
