About the Role
Our client is seeking a senior podcast producer to launch a new 20-30 minute interview-based podcast focusing on in-depth storytelling. This dual-role position combines hands-on production expertise with mentorship capabilities. The initial project involves establishing production workflows, creating high-quality audio content, and providing guidance in podcast production techniques. The role requires partial on-location availability in Manhattan, with potential for project expansion into video content.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement professional podcast production workflow
- Guide episode structure and content organization
- Select and edit appropriate music and sound elements
- Direct and edit opening narrative segments
- Set up and manage remote interview systems
Requirements
- Expert knowledge of audio production software (including Poscastle)
- Proven track record of producing interview-based content
- Strong understanding of narrative storytelling techniques
- Experience in remote recording technology
- Demonstrated teaching or mentoring ability
- Excellence in audio editing and mixing
