About the role

<h3>Your mission</h3> <p>As a Senior High Voltage Systems Engineer (all genders), you will significantly contribute to the design, development, and certification of the aircraft's high voltage systems. You will work as part of a multi-functional team, reporting to the Head of Propulsion, and covering HV system integration, including battery systems, power electronics, HV EWIS, and associated sub-systems. Your daily tasks will include a variety of technical activities for the propulsion team. Every day will bring new challenges, and you will be given a healthy amount of responsibility and autonomy, always supported by the team.</p> <h3>Your Day-to-Day</h3> <ul><li>Proactively lead and execute technical tasks within the propulsion department for the Microliner development and certification, from capturing technical requirements to demonstrating compliance.</li><li>Contribute significantly to the definition, architecture, sizing, specification, development, and integration of the high voltage distribution system in the aircraft, ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.</li><li>Develop physical and functional interfaces (ICDs) between the high voltage system and the aircraft structure and related systems and disciplines.</li><li>Coordinate HV system safety analysis and conduct system engineering tasks.</li><li>Planning, coordinating and performing HV system validation and verification activities as per aerospace standards such as ARP4754.</li><li>Develop and integrate the high voltage system digital mock-up (DMU) with the aircraft 3D model.</li><li>Select, interact with, and manage suppliers, taking responsibility for work packages related to the development and integration of HV components such as voltage converters, contactors, fuses, EWIS, and grounding systems.</li><li>Lead the installation and integration of HV systems on an aircraft level.</li><li>Coordinate and implement HV EWIS, as per applicable safety and installation EWIS requirements.</li><li>Actively participate in supplier Technical Review Meetings (TRM) and Program Review Meetings (PRM) as well as major program milestones such as PDR, CDR, First Flight, and Type Certification.</li><li>Define and plan HV equipment qualification campaigns together with suppliers and other stakeholders.</li><li>Support HV system hardware and software testing campaigns, from component test benches to full-scale prototypes, and aircraft ground and flight test campaigns.</li><li>Provide full engineering support for prototype final assembly and integration ground tests.</li><li>Ensure adherence to all engineering processes and standards and participate in design reviews to meet development and certification goals.</li></ul> <h3>Your profile</h3> <ul><li>Engineering degree in Aerospace Engineering or a related field.</li><li><span><span>Proven experience of at least 5 years in </span><span>electrical</span><span> system</span><span>s</span><span> design and integration within an aerospace OEM. Experience with electric </span><span>aircraft</span><span> is a plus</span><span>, including power electronics, energy storage and electric propulsion systems</span><span>.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Proficiency</span><span> in high voltage (up to 1500 VDC)</span><span> </span><span>system design and analysis, including </span><span>particular risks</span><span> </span><span>such as</span><span> arc faults, electric shock, inductive behaviour</span><span>, </span><span>HV insulation failures</span><span> (</span><span>i.e. arcing, partial discharge, insulation breakdown, corona effect</span><span>), and EWIS</span><span> process implementation.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Practical experience with </span><span>aircraft</span><span> certification pro</span><span>cess</span><span> (preferably EASA/FAA Part 23 or 25).</span></span></li><li><span><span>Experience working in an EASA Part 21J Design Organization, or international equivalent.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Working knowledge of </span><span>systems engineering</span><span> and</span><span> </span><span>safety </span><span>analys</span><span>e</span><span>s</span><span> per aerospace standards such as ARP4754 and ARP4761</span><span>.</span><span> </span><span>Proficiency</span><span> on </span><span>airborne hardware and software qualification</span><span> per ED</span><span>-12/ED-80</span><span> (DO-178/DO-254) is a plus.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Experience with electrical load analysis (ELA)</span><span>, and </span><span>electrical system simulation</span><span>.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Assertive and clear communication skills, results-oriented, with </span><span>a strong sense</span><span> of ownership.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Ability to interact efficiently with customers, authorities, suppliers, and internal organizational units.</span></span></li><li><span><span>Proven ability to prioritize, manage, and execute multiple simultaneous tasks.</span></span
