About Enterprise Architecture:

Enterprise Architecture is an organization within the Chief Technology Officer at American Express and it is a key enabler of the company’s technology strategy. The four pillars of Enterprise Architecture include:

•  Architecture as Code: This pillar owns and operates foundational technologies that are leveraged by engineering teams across the enterprise.

•  Architecture as Design: This pillar includes the solution and technical design for transformation programs and business critical projects which need architectural guidance and support.

•  Governance: This pillar is responsible for defining technical standards, and developing innovative tools that automate controls to ensure compliance.

•  Colleague Enablement: This pillar is focused on colleague development, recognition, training, and enterprise outreach.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leads the design, development, implementation, and ongoing evolution of the Architecture Portal and Enterprise Meta Model, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability for a large enterprise user base
• Partners with senior executives and high-profile internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality, intuitive UI tools and enable GenAI-driven use cases across the architecture platform
• Leads, mentors, and coaches Senior Software Engineers and teams, fostering a culture of excellence, continuous professional growth, and knowledge sharing within the software engineering community
• Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement talent acquisition and retention strategies, ensuring the organization attracts and retains top talent
• Directs and oversees the successful development, deployment, support, and monitoring of software across various environments
• Leads multiple software product development teams to realize the company's technology vision and strategy in a scalable, iterative environment
• Drives innovation and experimentation to deliver software solutions that meet or exceed customer and partner expectations
• Shares technology domain expertise with architects and specialists across multiple organizations to enhance technical solutions
• Ensures frictionless automated delivery processes and empowers teams to succeed at scale
• Collaborates with business and technology partners to motivate change and execute product roadmaps
• Collaborates and co-creates effectively with teams in product and the business
