Overview
The role of the Director of Production Operations entails supervising diverse teams, projects, and initiatives within the IT department. This position involves contributing to strategic decisions at a senior level, aligning IT strategies with business objectives, and exerting a significant impact across the organization. The director will assume
responsibility for managing the maintenance and functionality of Cotiviti's enterprise- evel applications. This includes leading a team of Production Support professionals specialized in sustaining revenue-generating production applications, as well as implementing and onboarding new Cotiviti clients.
Additionally, the incumbent will oversee the performance of external contractors engaged in project and development work. Effective collaboration with technical, business, and security teams is crucial to ensure the provision of exceptional service that supports Cotiviti's enterprise-level applications, all while adhering to corporate security policies
Responsibilities
- Manage Enterprise Level Applications supported by the Production Operations teams.
- Works and communicates directly with clients and management for any production events.
- Lead project efforts in defining scope, planning, executing, and reporting to stakeholders on strategic initiatives.
- Function as integrator between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet clients’ business needs.
- Develop advanced scripts and tools to help automate tasks, diagnose, and troubleshoot application functionality and resolve data accuracy and access issues.
- Maintain the documentation for architecture level changes.
- Interfaces with the Implementations, Development, QA and Release Management teams for releases and deployments of all enterprise level applications and services into Production.
- Design, document and improve Production Support processes and add to knowledge base of system problems and resolutions for future reference, including peer knowledge sharing and training.
- Manage Cotiviti Client Integration for new and existing client implementations.
- Follows and supports IT business processes using the ITIL framework, including incident, problem, change and release/configuration management with a goal of operational excellence.
- Supporting disaster recovery and business continuity planning and testing
- Develop dashboards for reporting.
- Interview, develop, coach, lead and retain top-tier talent, with a focus on building and improving a team and culture that can assist in employing best in class practices to support and drive high levels of internal and external customer satisfaction.

Qualifications
- Masters/BS/Equivalent Training/Certification and 10+ years of experience developing/supporting enterprise level applications.
- Excellent written communication skills, demonstrating the ability to write with purpose, clarity, and accuracy to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent aptitude for problem solving. Self-starter, team player, personable, enthusiastic, hardworking, and enjoy interfacing with external and internal customers on a day-to-day basis.
- 5+ Years of experience in managing a team.
- Deep knowledge of application architectures, workflows, and processes.
- Demonstrated experience with Application Configuration Management Engineering processes.
- Demonstrated experience deploying application configuration and Java artifacts to systems using scripts, Jenkins, Octopus.
- Experience with Apache, Tomcat, JBoss, Java, JVM, and load balancing technologies
- OpenShift experience a plus
- Experience in technical troubleshooting
- Ability to work in a cross-functional global team environment, utilizing on-line collaboration tools.
- Knowledge of commonly used information technology concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with medical claims processing and practices a plus.
- Willingness to work early, late, or on weekends as projects demand is required.
