This is a position that will assist the Revenue department in all aspects of the operations of an amusement park. While handling receiving, distribution, and inventory management for all in-park revenue the student will be exposed to many different aspects of park operations. The student will have the opportunity to be part of the planning, preparation, and execution of a full park season. This position involves coordination with managers in multiple departments, including food & beverage, games, and retail. This gives the student the opportunity to develop and extend communication and management skills through extensive contact throughout the organization.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Supervisory Duties:
- Supervise the daily operations of the Warehouse team and any other assigned departments
- Lead by example, attitude, and as a representation of Adventureland Resorts core values
- Act as an approachable mentor and coach to all assigned team members
- Ensure compliance with company and industry best practices, policies, and procedures to create a safe and productive environment for colleagues and guests.
- Become knowledgeable of performing the essential duties of all warehouse positions and backfill these positions when needed
- Participate in all aspects of supervision of assigned employees, including hiring, orientation, training, performance coaching, and discipline.
- Ensure that all required meal and other breaks are being given in accordance with Iowa law
- Assist with team scheduling and timekeeping activities
Departmental Duties:
- Develop the knowledge, experience, judgement, and confidence to perform the duties of a Warehouse supervisor or manager
- Lead special projects to improve process and operational efficiencies
- Shadow Warehouse leaders and team members to gain a solid understanding of the operation
- Log daily receiving and distributions using Workday software
- Ensure accuracy to maintain accurate perpetual inventory across various locations and hundreds of SKUs
- Work with department heads to tabulate periodic inventory
- Assist in overseeing on-site warehouse operations, employee management, receiving, and internal deliveries
- Collaborate with department managers to provide daily inventory and operational support
- Assist in external and internal product ordering and delivery
- Participate in weekly department planning meetings
- Work directly with directors and department heads to accomplish tasks
- Assist with the set-up of special events (e.g. Oktoberfest, Phantom Fall Fest, Holiday Lights, etc.)
- Participate in social activities with international college students and other interns
- All other duties assigned by leadership
Education and Experience:
- Currently enrolled (or recent graduate) in a Bachelor’s Degree program with a major in Supply Chain Management, Hospitality, Business Management, Event Management, or another related major.
- 1+ years of previous work or internship experience in a related role preferred
- Must become certified to operate forklifts and/or other mechanical equipment within 30 days of hire.
Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus.
