Part of that is down to the numerous parks, woodlands and outlying hills, perfect for families.</p><p><a href="https://www.austria.info/en/where-to-go/cities/vienna"><strong>Learn more about Vienna</strong></a></p><p><strong>Your New Role</strong> </p><p>As Layout Engineer, you will be a key player in the execution of projects crucial to decarbonization of Vienna by 2040, such as: </p><ul><li>Modernisation of existing energy production facilities (e.g. upgrading a waste incineration plant on the basis of the circular economy) </li><li>Construction of new alternative energy generation plants (e.g. biomass, wind farm, geothermal etc) </li><li>Hydrogen production or application (e.g. construction of hydrogen production facilities) </li><li>Combined generation plants for heating and cooling energy as well as electricity (e.g. either construction or modernisation of existing plant for combined generation of electricity, heating and cooling energy such as natural gas and renewable energy sources) </li><li>Waste generation and management (e.g. construction of recycling plants, plants for the treatment of sewage sludge and phosphorus recovery). </li></ul><p>Your responsibilities will include: </p><ul><li>Develop detailed layouts for sustainable energy facilities, optimizing component placement, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and space utilization.</li><li>Collaborate with diverse engineering disciplines to integrate power generation, distribution, and control equipment into cohesive system layouts for sustainable energy projects.</li><li>Analyze and optimize layouts for enhanced system performance, considering energy efficiency, load distribution, and maintenance ease.</li><li>Ensure system layouts comply with industry regulations, obtaining necessary approvals and certifications for safety and environmental compliance.</li><li>Create comprehensive documentation, including layout drawings and specifications, to facilitate effective collaboration among stakeholders in sustainable energy projects.</li><li>Design and layout pipe systems, considering route optimization, hydraulic analysis, and environmental impact for sustainable energy facilities</li></ul><p><strong>Your New Team: </strong> </p><p>You and your team will benefit from promotion of a Scandinavian inspired working culture in a new Austrian joint venture with a high degree of flexibility and an informal and dynamic working environment. </p><p><strong>About You:</strong> </p><p>For this role, it would be beneficial to have the following qualifications and experience: </p><ul><li>B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>In-depth experiene in piping design and layout within the energy sector, e.g. oil/gas, Power-to-X, CCUS, Hydrogen, smart grids</li><li>Exhibit familiarity with 3D design tools, with a preference for hands-on experience.</li><li>Possess solid knowledge of piping design codes and industry standards.</li><li>Showcase strong project management skills and effective teamwork ability.</li><li>Fluent English language essential; German language preferred</li></ul><p><strong>Join an empowered and pioneering team – </strong>join us and take a unique opportunity to help shape the future of the world’s most liveable city.
