Part of that is down to the numerous parks, woodlands and outlying hills, perfect for families. </p><p><a href="https://www.austria.info/en/where-to-go/cities/vienna">Learn more about Vienna</a> </p><p><strong>Your New Role </strong></p><p>As the Head of Project Management, you will build and lead a dynamic team to execute projects crucial to decarbonization of Vienna by 2040, such as: </p><ul><li><p>Modernisation of existing energy production facilities (e.g. upgrading a waste incineration plant on the basis of the circular economy) </p></li><li><p>Construction of new alternative energy generation plants (e.g. biomass, wind farm, geothermal etc) </p></li><li><p>Hydrogen production or application (e.g. construction of hydrogen production facilities) </p></li><li><p>Combined generation plants for heating and cooling energy as well as electricity (e.g. either construction or modernisation of existing plant for combined generation of electricity, heating and cooling energy such as natural gas and renewable energy sources) </p></li><li><p>Waste generation and management (e.g. construction of recycling plants, plants for the treatment of sewage sludge and phosphorus recovery). </p></li></ul><p><strong>Your responsibilities will include: </strong></p><ul><li><p>Defining project objectives, requirements, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and team members </p></li><li><p>Planning, executing, and overseeing the management of projects from start to finish, ensuring they are delivered within scope, budget, and timeline </p></li><li><p>Coordinating and communicating with stakeholders (Wien Energie and Ramboll and other partners), cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment, collaboration, and effective decision-making </p></li><li><p>Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and motivation among project team members </p></li><li><p>Supporting further growth and development of the team </p></li></ul><p><strong>Your New Team: </strong></p><p>You and your team will benefit from promotion of a Scandinavian inspired working culture in a new Austrian joint venture with a high degree of flexibility and an informal and dynamic working environment. </p><p><strong>About You: </strong></p><p>For this role, it would be beneficial to have the following qualifications and experience: </p><ul><li><p>Master’s degree in Engineering or related. </p></li><li><p>Proven experience as a senior Project Manager, successfully delivering international projects on time and within budget. </p></li><li><p>Experience of delivering major energy infrastructure projects, particularly in the energy sector. </p></li><li><p>Knowledge of project management related to energy transition projects, such as clean energy power plant design/construction, conversion of fossil fuel power plants to biomass, district heating/cooling systems, smart grids, energy storage, CCUS and circular economy projects. </p></li><li><p>Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. </p></li><li><p>Adaptable to change and of resilient nature. </p></li><li><p>Deep passion for driving positive environmental impact through innovative and sustainable energy solutions. </p></li></ul><p><strong>What we offer: </strong></p><p>Join an empowered and pioneering team – join us and take a unique opportunity to help shape the future of the world’s most liveable city.
