The Opportunity
This position works out of our St Paul, MN location for our Structural Heart business.
Structural Heart Business Mission: Why We Exist
Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life by designing and providing device and management solutions for treating structural heart disease.
What You’ll Work On
In this role, you’ll lead a team of Buyers and Commodity Managers responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and supporting new product development. You will:
Lead and develop high-performing teams through coaching, mentorship, and strong communication
Define and implement commodity management strategies aligned with business growth and profitability goals
Partner with Program Management and Engineering teams to build effective supply chains for new product launches
Negotiate and manage complex, high-value development and supply contracts
Drive cost optimization, risk reduction, and quality improvements across the supply base
Leverage systems like SAP and advanced analytics tools to enable data-driven decision making
Design and optimize processes that reduce operational costs, inventory carrying costs, and obsolescence
Lead global sourcing and supplier strategies across the full product lifecycle
Support M&A activities by assessing supply chain risks and integration strategies
Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment across manufacturing, planning, and distribution networks
Lead key initiatives such as VMI, Kanban, supplier portals, and global supply chain transformation projects
Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, corporate policies, and quality standards
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field
Master’s degree preferred
Relevant professional certifications highly valued, such as:
CPCM (Certified Professional Contracts Manager)
NCMA (National Contract Management Association certification)
CCCE (Certified Cost Consultant/Cost Engineer)
CPS (Certified Professional in Supply Management)
CPCCMP (Certified Professional in Contract & Commercial Management Practices)
