IT Support Assistant

About the role

Performs various routine asset management and purchasing duties.  Duties may include support of various tasks relative to purchasing IT-related items.  Other duties and assignments relative to purchasing and asset management support. Compiles, records, and tracks pertinent purchasing data on computer. Position requires High School diploma or equivalent, and two to three years of related experience.

  • Data entry (e.g., order history, inventory, software licensing)
  • Assist with equipment inventory management
  •  Process new hires and terminations, including mailbox creation, software licensing assignments, and logging information.
  • Monitor the Procurement queue; note and assign tickets
  • Track licensed software and vouchers.
  •  Document or update knowledge base articles as needed.
  • Process incoming shipments
  • Contact vendors for quotes, obtain approvals, and submit quotes into PASS for purchasing completion

Required Skills:

  • Experience with federal or state government purchasing procedures
  • 2 – 3 years related experience
  • Strong oral & written communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excel as a team player and strive to maximize team & department performance

Position Preferences:

  • Associate degree; 3.0 GPA or better
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented problem solver

Team Information:

Successful applicant will become a member of an IT Support team that provides tier 1, tier 2 and tier 3 level support to several divisions within ARA. Local IT Support team supports approximately 800 users, in addition to providing secure computing support directly to government contracts.
