Our Tullagreen manufacturing site is a center of excellence, delivering high-quality orthopaedic devices that improve the lives of millions of patients worldwide. </p><p></p><p><b>Position Summary</b> </p><p>We are seeking an accomplished and strategic <b>Senior Engineering Manager</b> to lead Engineering Operations at our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. This key leadership role is responsible for leading Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, and Equipment Maintenance functions. Ensuring the seamless execution of daily engineering activities while driving long-term operational excellence. </p><p>The ideal candidate will be a seasoned engineering leader with a proven track record in regulated manufacturing environments, capable of developing high-performing teams and delivering sustainable improvements through Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement methodologies. </p><p></p><p><b>What you will do:</b></p><ul><li>Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, and Maintenance teams to support production and operational excellence. </li></ul><ul><li>Ensure the effective day-to-day management of engineering operations, enabling consistent delivery of manufacturing performance and minimal production downtime. </li></ul><ul><li>Lead the implementation of Business Excellence initiatives, embedding a culture of continuous improvement, waste reduction, and lean manufacturing. </li></ul><ul><li>Develop and execute strategies to enhance equipment reliability, including robust preventative and predictive maintenance programs. </li></ul><ul><li>Oversee engineering compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485) and internal quality system requirements. </li></ul><ul><li>Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Operations, EH&amp;S, Finance, and Supply Chain to align engineering priorities with site and global objectives. </li></ul><ul><li>Manage departmental budgets and engineering improvement projects, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to meet business needs. </li></ul><ul><li>Champion the development and retention of engineering talent through coaching, management and succession planning. </li></ul><p></p><p></p><p></p><p><b>What you will need:</b></p><ul><li>Level 8 qualification in <span>Mechanical/Electrical,</span> Manufacturing, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline; Master’s degree or MBA preferred. </li></ul><ul><li>Progressive experience in a high-volume, highly regulated manufacturing environment, with at experience in a senior engineering leadership role. </li></ul><ul><li>Strong background in the medical device or orthopaedic manufacturing sector highly desirable. </li></ul><ul><li>Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional engineering teams and driving operational performance improvements. </li></ul><ul><li>Expert knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement frameworks. </li></ul><ul><li>Understanding of medical device regulatory and quality standards including FDA, ISO 13485, and GMP. </li></ul><p></p><p></p><p><b>Key Competencies</b> </p><ul><li>Strategic and analytical mindset with a focus on operational efficiency and long-term business goals. </li></ul><ul><li>Exceptional leadership and team development skills, with the ability to inspire, influence, and drive change. </li></ul><ul><li>Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities across all levels of the organization. </li></ul><ul><li>Proactive, results-oriented approach with a commitment to excellence and innovation. </li></ul><p></p><p></p><p>#IJ</p><p></p><p></p>Travel Percentage: 10%<p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p>
