Senior BI Developer

Overview

We are seeking a Senior BI Developer to enhance our DWH Analytics team. This role is crucial for integrating data into our Snowflake Data Warehouse, leveraging DBT for data transformation, and developing insightful Power BI reports. You will be joining a team of 7 people, which has:

 

• 2 BI Developers
• 2 DWH Engineers
• 2 Testers
• 1 Team Leader

 

Your main tasks will be:

 

1. Data Integration and Management:

• Design and implement data integration processes through our internal Datahub to Snowflake DWH, ensuring seamless and efficient data flows.
• Utilize DBT for data transformation, ensuring data is modeled effectively for analytics and reporting.
• Maintain the integrity and performance of the Snowflake DWH, implementing monitoring, quality checks, and troubleshooting as necessary.

 

2. Data Modeling and Analytics:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand analytics needs, translating business requirements into technical solutions within the DWH.
• Develop and maintain scalable and efficient data models in Snowflake, optimizing data structures for BI reporting and analytics.

 

3. BI Reporting and Visualization:

• Design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards, providing actionable insights to business users and supporting data-driven decision-making.
• Work closely with business teams to refine BI requirements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and user needs.

 

4. Leadership and Collaboration:

• Mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the team.
• Stay informed about the latest trends in data technology, advocating for and implementing improvements to our data infrastructure and BI capabilities.

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in SQL and data integration practices.
• 2 years of experience with DBT for data transformations.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing principles and data modeling techniques.
• Proficient in Power BI or similar BI tools, with 3 years of experience in data visualization and report development.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong communication skills to effectively liaise between technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Professional knowledge of Czech and English.
• Experience with managing and modeling data in Snowflake is preferred.
