This role requires exceptional strategic thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills, coupled with a learning-first mindset and passion for building scalable organizational practices in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership:

  • Act as a trusted thought partner to cross-functional leaders, subject matter experts, and Center of Excellence teams to action against priorities in real-time.
  • Coach and manage a team of L&D specialists and instructional designers.

Training Excellence:

  • Review current suite of tools and resources to unlock new capabilities, staying up-to-date with emerging technologies in preparation for a future HRIS / LMS migration.
  • Analyze existing training offerings and revise / repackage to support an elevated training strategy in support of Metropolis’ mission and core values.
  • Provide instructional design support and leadership to cement brand consistency and solve for the nuance of the varied employee population.
  • Leverage external training programs to further enhance internal development efforts.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to reset on day one training requirements and continuous education initiatives, particularly for the Commercial organization.
  • Deliver insights tied to utilization and feedback across employee engagement and learning initiatives, and establish related KPIs.
  • Develop dashboards and reports that empower the People Team and functional leaders to make informed decisions.
  • Establish and maintain the L&D budget.
  • Manage key integration priorities following acquisitions.

Communication & Stakeholder Management:

  • Engage with cross-functional leaders to design tailored learning programs that are role- or function-specific.
  • Collaborate with HRBPs and Talent Acquisition leaders to ensure L&D efforts are aligned with the broader People strategy.
  • Develop compelling presentations and narratives to communicate People strategies and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 10+ years in People/HR roles, ideally in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment with exposure to acquisition environments or similar large-scale transformations.
  • L&D Expertise: Proven experience in the domain of Learning & Development and instructional design, with expertise across a variety of training and coaching methodologies.
  • Strategic Acumen: Demonstrated ability to think strategically while executing tactically in high-growth environments.
  • Project Management: Exceptional project management skills with experience in managing complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Communication Skills: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and present to diverse audiences.
  • Adaptability: Proven talent as a "chaos pilot" who thrives in dynamic, ambiguous environments requiring quick decisions with imperfect information.

Preferred:

  • Experience in transportation, mobility, real estate, or logistics industries is a plus.
  • Advanced education in education, HR, or related fields is highly desirable.
