Position Overview
The Director of Photolithography DRAM at Micron Technology, based in Boise, oversees the strategic direction, innovation, and execution within the DRAM photolithography function. This leader drives department vision, program excellence, and cross-functional collaboration, ensuring Micron’s technology leadership and operational effectiveness on a global scale.
Key Responsibilities
Department Vision & Program Leadership
Develop and implement a clear vision and executable strategies aligned with corporate objectives for the photolithography DRAM function.
Initiate and lead program-level improvements to optimize performance (P2P) and speed time to market.
Drive cross-functional teams to resolve complex, high-impact program challenges and plan worldwide technology deployments.
Planning, Budget & Financial Management
Establish and manage sub-function budgets, ensuring responsible financial stewardship.
Contribute to setting departmental objectives, technical solutions, and evaluating long-term impacts of new corporate initiatives.
Technology Roadmap & Innovation
Foster an innovation-driven culture and align area and vendor roadmaps with Micron’s technology vision.
Drive area projects to meet Lithography Area technical requirements for each new DRAM technology node.
Deliver unique intellectual property, integrating new technologies for competitive differentiation.
Supplier and Vendor Engagement
Lead ESLT strategy and discussions with vendors and suppliers for photolithography advancements.
Serve as principal contact and technical leader in vendor relationships, identifying cross-area synergies for module-level solutions.
Drive vendor roadmap to meet Micron product requirements and Best-In-Class performance.
Cross-Functional Networking & Collaboration
Work closely with PD, PI, Operations, Manufacturing, Vendors, and Engineering to optimize processes and resources.
Build relationships with site leadership across manufacturing and engineering networks to strengthen collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Impact & Scope
Make strategic and operational decisions with impact across multiple sites and geographies.
Balance immediate operational priorities with the long-term strategic direction of the company.
People Leadership & Organizational Development
Shape people programs and drive organizational change, influencing within and beyond own team.
Mentor and develop technical and leadership talent; focus on team morale, DEI, succession planning, and technical depth.
Attract and retain top global technology talent through performance management and leadership development initiatives.
