Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Director to lead the Digital Ecosystems strategy within our Transaction Banking business. This role will be responsible for defining and executing our digital ecosystems roadmap, driving innovation, and shaping how we engage with clients and partners through APIs and digital ecosystems.

As the business owner for the build-out and launch of the TD GTB Developer Portal, you will oversee the design, implementation, and commercialization of our digital ecosystems capabilities. You will also own the API roadmap, ensuring alignment with client needs and regulatory requirements, while developing partnerships across the ecosystem to accelerate adoption.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Roadmap: Define and lead the bank’s open banking strategy, ensuring alignment with regulatory, industry, and client trends.
• Developer Portal Ownership: Act as the business owner for the TD GTB Developer Portal, driving its design, launch, and ongoing management as the central hub for developers and clients to access APIs and documentation.
• API Roadmap: Own and deliver the API roadmap, partnering with technology and product teams to prioritize, build, and scale APIs that enable seamless integration and new client value propositions.
• Ecosystem Partnerships: Build and manage partnerships with fintechs, third-party platforms, and ecosystem players to accelerate API adoption and extend reach.
• Commercialization & Adoption: Define the go-to-market strategy for open banking APIs, working with sales, relationship managers, and digital teams to drive client engagement and adoption.
• Cross-Business Integration: Collaborate across business lines and geographies to embed digital ecosystem solutions into core offerings, ensuring consistency and scalability.
• Innovation Leadership: Stay ahead of emerging trends in digital ecosystems, embedded finance, and digital ecosystems, ensuring our platform remains competitive and differentiated.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the senior point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing governance, communications, and alignment across technology, operations, and product partners.

Qualifications & Experience

• 10+ years of experience in product management, digital banking, fintech, or transaction banking, with expertise in digital ecosystems, APIs, or platform strategy
• Proven track record of building and launching digital platforms, developer portals, or API-driven products
• Strong understanding of open banking regulations, standards, and ecosystem dynamics
• Experience developing and managing partnerships with fintechs and third-party platforms
• Ability to define and execute strategic roadmaps while balancing client needs, technology capabilities, and regulatory considerations
• Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for digital innovation and client-centric solutions
