This opportunity is ideal for individuals interested in contributing to our team as a Technology Governance & Business Analysis intern within State Street’s Global Technology Services organization. Our technology function, Global Technology Services (GTS), is vital to State Street and is the key enabler for our business to deliver data and insights to our clients. What You Will Do:    

In this role, you will perform the following day-to-day activities:  

  • Break down projects into component parts, identifying and tracking dependencies and opportunities for optimization; proactively identify problems and recommend solutions before they become blockers 

  • Use data and analytical skills to conduct assessments, utilizing data management metrics and insights to influence in a compelling, action-oriented manner 

  • Leverage excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate risk and issues and progress against mitigating risk and issues 

  • Assist in the development and refinement of governance frameworks, policies, and procedures. 

  • Utilize tools like Microsoft CoPilot to analyze business processes and identify opportunities for improvement using data-driven insights. 

  • Support the creation of dashboards and reports to monitor compliance, risk, and performance metrics. 

  • Participate in stakeholder interviews and workshops to gather requirements. 

  • Document findings and contribute to the preparation of presentations. 

  • Collaborate and work with cross-functional teams including BI Analytics, Risk, and Program Management. 

  • Help track and report on governance dashboards. 

  • Engage in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily standups. 

  • Contribute to data quality initiatives by analyzing compliance standards and pursuing continuous improvement opportunities.

Education and Preferred Qualifications:  

Candidates should be:  

  • Final-year undergraduate or graduate students pursuing degrees in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Business Management with a Project focus, or related technical disciplines who are interested in converting to a full-time role post-graduation 

  • Enthusiastic about building a long-term career in a dynamic, technology-driven organization 

  • Effective communicators with the ability to collaborate in a team-oriented environment 

  • Open to feedback and committed to continuous learning and improvement 

  • Motivated by real-world problem solving and eager to contribute innovative ideas 

Certification nice to haves:
