Your Team

As a Director of Business Intelligence and Data Delivery, you will join a team of change agents supporting Prudential’s U.S. Businesses (USB).

This position is part of Data & Technology supporting BI and Agile Delivery.

Your Business Intelligence responsibilities will include developing dashboard solutions using BI tools and technologies (i.e. Fabric, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) for key portfolio reporting initiatives. Collaborate and communicate effectively with business partners to proactively identify needs, prioritize, and develop solutions that enable fact-based decision making. Ensures solutions are robust, tested and leveraging best practices and industry standards. Demonstrates willingness to experiment and learn new tools and technologies.

In addition to Business Intelligence, you will be responsible to provide leadership, coordination, and managing delivery of data science initiatives. You will bring excellent problem solving, communication, teamwork skills, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that you do.

Here is what you can expect on a typical day

Business Intelligence

• Identify opportunities to leverage Business Intelligence solutions in the existing USB portfolio and expand in new areas to drive significant business outcomes.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively and consistently with business partners to proactively identify needs, prioritize, and deliver solutions.
• Analyze and transform data utilizing tools such as Fabric and PowerBI to develop comprehensive reports to gain insights and support fact-based decisions.
• Execute and develop multiple key Business Intelligence reporting initiatives.

Agile Delivery

• Collaborate with data scientists in managing program deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues to achieve documented and committed goals and outcomes.
• Synthesize, track, and communicate data science PI Objectives, key milestones with all stakeholders. Track execution of features and derive metrics that help the ART make data-driven decisions. Lead process improvement opportunities resulting from Inspect and Adapt workshop.
• Facilitate PI Planning readiness by fostering a Continuous Exploration process which drives the synthesis of a Vision, a Roadmap, and Backlogs, and through Pre- and Post-PI Planning meetings. Helps manage risks and dependencies, raises and track impediments.
• Ensure strategy and execution alignment through collaboration with Product Owners, Solution Architect Engineer and other partners and stakeholders on the ART and across the organization. Provides a blend of tactical and strategic leadership.
• Support the team(s) by removing and/or raising impediments that the team(s) cannot resolve themselves including topics related to scope, schedule, prioritization, decision making, risk management, etc.
• Influence timelines, expectations, and proactively negotiates across departments and sometimes functional management.

The Skills & Expertise You Bring

• Technical expertise in PowerBI and Fabric
• Proficiency with SharePoint
• Ability to source data from various sources across the Enterprise
• Agile reporting and metrics
• Agile Delivery or relevant expertise working with teams to deliver expected outcomes.
• Agile at Scale
• Fluency Agile tools such as in Jira, Jira Align, and Miro preferred.
• Knowledge of business concepts, tools and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's business.
• Ability to learn creative skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges.
• Excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills.
