Position Summary:
Florida Atlantic University is seeking an Executive Project Director, Broward UP Promise Neighborhoods. - Boca Raton, FL.
This position provides leadership and direction for Broward UP Promise Neighborhoods Project Grant initiatives and program. The Promise Neighborhoods grant is a federally funded grant program which will offer a comprehensive two-generational, community-centric model with underlying support from the community to deliver key programming solutions along the pipeline for children, families and community members pathways to employment, via credentialing and non-credit, continuing education. The Promise Neighborhoods project specifically targets and will serve students and families who directly come from traditionally underrepresented and underserved populations and who are at risk of poverty and academic failure. These solutions will be provided by various community partners supporting the five interconnected pipeline blocks of the pipeline continuum: 1) Early Care and Education/Kindergarten Readiness; 2) K-12 Success; 3) High School to Postsecondary and Completion; 4) 21st Century Workforce and Talent; and 5) Mobilizing the Broward UP Community.
Summary of responsibilities:
- Ensuring that the program is in compliance with funder guidelines
- Management of daily operation of the program through hiring, supervising, training, and guiding staff in the development, implementation, and evaluation of program activities
- Operating the program in a fiscally prudent manner that is in compliance with all funder requirements
- Work with stakeholders, affirming that data drives services, and documenting continuous project improvement
- Participates with outside agencies, organizations, and institutions to maintain an active awareness of program status and needs
- Attends council meetings and grant management meetings and conferences
- Develops and monitors annual grant budget and match commitments
- works with the Broward UP Commissions to coordinate strategies
- Supervises and evaluates administrative, marketing and staff assigned to the grant program activities
- Responsible for the achievement of project development, recruitment, and placement goals, including budgetary accountability, to ensure alignment with the university’s mission and vision while remaining in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Ensures data are collected and managed for the solutions within all pipeline blocks of the grant program
- Ensures reporting of outcomes of each pipeline block
- Manages memorandums of understanding and/or contracts with appropriate agencies
- Manages budget and documents match for solution of each pipeline block
- Oversees all aspects of the project to include the daily operation of the program through hiring, supervising, training, and guiding staff in the development, implementation, and evaluation of program activities. Manages, reviews and approves project expenditures
- Develop and refine program operations to ensure that objectives are met
- Ensure the program is in compliance with funder guidelines
- Ensure the project is operated in a fiscally prudent manner and is in compliance with all fiscal requirements.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders; ensure the data drives services; and ensure continuous improvement of services. Identify and engage partners in supporting the Promise Neighborhood (PN) model
- Compile all required reports accurately and timely. Lead continuous improvement cycle using Results-Based Accountability framework
- Develop a sustainability plan to expand and sustain the most effective programs
- Other roles/duties will be assigned as necessary.
