The Associate Director, Global Medical Affairs Execution supports the strategic objectives of the J&J Innovative Medicine Cardiopulmonary Global Medical Affairs (GMAF) team. They are responsible for cross-indication project management and oversight of the processes that support the strategic objectives of the Global Medical Affairs function. The Associate Director, GMAF Execution will partner across functions and regions on operational aspects of the Global Medical Affairs Function, including:

  • Consolidated global medical affairs plan that meets prioritized regional needs
  • Global Medical Affairs Team and meeting coordination
  • Contracting & PO Management
  • Coordination of compliance and Medical/Legal/Regulatory Reviews
  • Project Management
  • Development and execution of GCSO funded medical strategies including but not limited to:
    • Thought Leader Engagement (advisory boards and consultancy)
    • Oversight of Scientific Content Development (Scientific Communications Platform, core slide decks)
    • Sponsorships
    • Congress planning
    • IIS/Collaborative Study Intake and review with appropriate governance committees
    • Pre-approval access or alternative pathways to medicine, when applicable
    • Strategic initiatives including implementation and process improvements
    • Budget management (internal and across any relevant alliances)

Responsibilities:

  • Leading the development and implementation of Global Medical Affairs strategic business priorities, partnering cross-functionally and cross-regionally with functional business leaders to ensure alignment and sustainable implementation
  • Partnering across GMAF, the regions, and key central functions (Legal, HCC, Privacy, Procurement, etc.) to execute business processes ensuring efficient/effective business operations for GMAF
  • Project management of functional or cross-TA initiatives. Liaise between Functional leadership, project teams, and/or vendors. Achieve operational objectives by coordinating and contributing as required by the project. Responsible for creating and executing project plans, monitoring project status, schedules, budgets and business results and revisions as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Management of the day-to-day operational aspects of the GMAF Cardiopulmonary budget internally and across relevant alliances. Managing financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets,
