About the role

Responsibilities

OBXtek is staffing for a Cybersecurity Service Provider (CSSP) Financial Analyst to oversee and execute Information Technology (IT) and Cybersecurity-related projects for the Defensive Cyber Solutions Branch (DCSB) Mission Support program. 

 

The Financial Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to ensure the successful delivery of projects that meet both technical and business objectives.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • A Financial Analyst must have experience in the review of financial data to identify planned versus actual status.
  • Must have experience in identifying risk areas and create narrative, graphic, and oral status reports.
  • Evaluates financial data, prepares reports, Analyzes financial statements, Creates and uses financial models to forecast future performance and assess the impact of different scenarios.
  • Oversee and track all program-related expenses, including contracting, labor, hardware, software, operational costs, overhead, travel, and purchase cards, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Prepares detailed reports, presentations, and recommendations for budgeting, and cost management.
  • Participates in the budgeting process and develops financial forecasts.
  • Analyzes costs and identifies areas for improvement.
  • Works closely with Project Managers to ensure that all project-related costs align with established budgets, proactively addressing any discrepancies or budgetary concerns.

Qualifications

Must possess a DoD Secet /SCI security clearance.

 

Experience

  • Experience in detailed management and oversight of a Contractor or Government team, including conducting requirements analysis, project costing, deliverable tracking, schedule and financial data monitoring, and reporting.

Education/Certification 

  • Bachelor's Degree, Business Discipline and 4 years experience or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.
