As a Criminal Intelligence Specialist (Research Analyst 1) with the Oregon Department of Justice, Criminal Justice Division, you will work closely with law enforcement and public safety agencies to consistently compile, evaluate, collate, analyze information, and ensure effectiveness for our state’s Analytical & Criminal Investigative Services Section (ACISS). The Watch Center provides deconfliction and law enforcement to support investigations.
In this role you will provide law enforcement agencies with information base, research and analysis, and to facilitate criminal investigations through the collection, evaluation, collation, analysis and dissemination of information.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Major duties include (in part):
Respond and track law enforcement research requests; collect and compile information in response to requests.
Process requests for analytical support for investigative and prosecutorial needs as directed.
Maintain access for the Division for multiple criminal intelligence data sources. Maintain the ACISS file system.
Coordinate statewide organized crime conferences, criminal intelligence courses and seminars.
Special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
College-level coursework that includes at least three quarter units in business or technical report writing, three quarter units in quantitative analysis or statistical principles, and six quarter units in computer concepts and microcomputer applications such as word-processing, spread sheet and database.
