Job Description

SUMMARY

The Marketing Manager owns the business for their product categories and is responsible for defining strategies that will drive profitable top line growth.  Growth is achieved through effective portfolio management, new product introductions, core product enhancements and promotional programs.

As a key leader within the division, the Marketing Manager will help share successes and cross-leverage knowledge and capabilities to support annual and long-range plan objectives, through influential and collaborative leadership across the division.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement product positioning and marketing strategies for specific end user segments (i.e., to K-12 schools, Independent Restaurants and Chain Restaurants).  
  • Provide support to the Dealer Sales Organization, Foodservice and Food Retail national account chain team on marketing requests to drive growth of Traulsen products.
  • Work with Marketing Director to develop and manage the divisional marketing budget and team travel calendar. Align the marketing budget with the initiatives in the annual operating plan.  Reallocate as appropriate to drive highest ROI. 
  • Develop and manage support plans for all major FEG tradeshows – NAFEM, NRA, ANC – including pre-show, during-show and post-show activities and Traulsen brand messaging
  • Manage rapid and thorough execution of trade and end-user marketing plans to effectively commercialize all newly developed products.  Oversee the development and execution of all marketing communications programs with collaboration from team (offline, digital, trade shows).
  • Manage existing marketing communication team and ensure Traulsen is well positioned to grow their digital marketing expertise
  • Manage relationships with contracted agencies – annual contracts and monthly deliverables
  • Manage all product and sales training activities both on site, virtual and national in-person events

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional leaders
  • Ability to utilize CRM and other digital platforms
  • Ability to analyze financial data and determine appropriate actions to improve product profitability
  • Must be able to manage multiple priorities with highly effective follow through skills
  • Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build and leverage connections for business success
  • Strong presentation skills; small informal groups as well as large groups

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or Marketing required; MBA preferred
  • 7 to 9 years of product marketing experience, with 2+ years of managerial experience
  • Demonstrated history of success with increasing role responsibilities
