Construction Supervisor

<p>MYTILINEOS, a leading industrial company with a strong international presence in four Business Units, Metallurgy, Sustainable Engineering Solutions (SES), Power &amp; Gas and International Renewables &amp; Storage Development is currently seeking to hire a Construction Supervisor based in Thessaloniki or Larisa or Kastoria for the<strong> International Renewables &amp; Storage Development Business Unit (RSD)</strong>.</p><p><br/></p><p>The ideal candidate will report to the Site Manager and will work closely with the site engineers and supervisors within RSD, as well as externally with the subcontractors to ensure on schedule completion and compliance with the company’s high- quality and HSE standards. <br/></p><p><strong>Main Responsibilities</strong><br/></p><ul> <li>Reviews construction schedule that incorporates information from system design and engineering, provides leadership to the subcontractors and reporting to the site management and project management. </li> <li>Reviewing contracts and documents to ensure that work is executed in accordance with RSD's expectations and contractual requirements. </li> </ul><ul> <li>Develops effective relationships with contractors, suppliers, engineers, consultants, and team members to ensure successful, timely completion of deliverables that support the project goals. </li> <li>Monitors and oversees civil or structural or mechanical and electrical work at the project site to ensure it meets contractual obligations. </li> <li>Ensures projects are built according to plans created and submitted as well as to their standards. </li> <li>Cross functional co-ordination with – Engineering, Project management, Logistics, Quality, HSE and all support functions as needed. </li> <li>Ensures that construction work is aligned with the HSE plan. </li> </ul><ul> <li>Performs the periodical construction, quality, and HSE reports. </li> <li>Review all contractors’ QA plans &amp; procedures and bring all plans into conformance with project requirements, supported by the project team. </li> <li>Reviews drawings and procedures periodically and suggests changes if necessary. </li> <li>Receives and distributes from subcontractors quotes and RFIs. </li> <li>Reviews construction tasks on a day-to-day basis against the progress milestones. </li> </ul><ul> <li>Identifies, source, and qualify subcontractors and suppliers for project. </li> <li>Conducts audits of site conditions and equipment installation of subcontractors on the site. </li> <li>Performs audits of the jobsites to verify accurate completion of scope of work in accordance with the quality plan and HSE plan. </li> <li>Identifies and communicates all application and installation concerns. Communicates concerns back to site management for required resolution and future issue prevention. </li> <li>Works safely always. Adheres to all applicable safety policies. Complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards. </li> </ul><ul><li>Assist the Site Managers with the verification of monthly progress claims from subcontractors.</li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (AEI, TEI)</li></ul><ul> <li>Proven track record in the construction of solar parks with a <strong>minimum of 3 years’ experience in large scale solar parks</strong> (minimum 1MW) </li> <li>Working knowledge of MS Office. </li> <li>Languages: English essential </li> <li>Ability to operate in a highly technical or particularly complex field </li> <li>Working from Site.
