Position Summary
The Process Engineer will be responsible for developing, improving, and standardizing sheet metal fabrication processes for our welded product lines. This includes creating detailed working drawings from design concepts using SolidWorks to Bystronic By7- for controlled press brakes and lasers, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support operational excellence initiatives. This position reports directly to the Head of Engineering and is based full-time at our Dallas, TX facility.
Key Responsibilities
Process Development & Optimization
- Develop detailed working drawings from design concepts using SolidWorks.
- Program, set up, and troubleshoot Bystronic By7-controlled press brakes and lasers.
- Apply lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles to reduce waste and enhance productivity.
Product & Production Support
- Collaborate with Design, Quality, and Operations to ensure manufacturability and product integrity.
- Create and maintain detailed work instructions and installation materials.
- Support the launch of new products or engineering changes into production.
Team Collaboration
- Act as a process SME and technical resource for welders, operators, and production leads.
- Participate in cross-functional teams to support safety, quality, and throughput goals.
- Assist in evaluating and justifying new equipment, tools, or automation projects.

Qualifications
Required Experience & Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of process engineering experience in a sheet metal fabrication environment.
Required Skills
- Proficiency with SolidWorks for creating detailed working drawings.
- Experience with Bystronic By7 equipment for both press brake and laser cutting.
- Understanding of welding processes, fixture design, and GD&T.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, process flow, and work cell optimization.
Preferred
- Automotive or off-road industry experience is a plus.
- Project management or capital equipment implementation experience.
