Career TEAM is looking to hire a dynamic Workforce Integration Team Lead to support and lead a team of Career Advisors serving immigrant and refugee populations within the WIOA Adult and Dislocated Worker program. This role is instrumental in connecting job seekers to high-quality employment opportunities across Pierce County and ensuring that services are culturally responsive, accessible, and effective. Work will be performed under the Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) Program within the WorkSource umbrella in Pierce County. The Workforce Integration Team Lead will provide strategic oversight, coaching, and training to Career Advisors, ensuring the successful enrollment, engagement, and career placement of program participants. This role also involves approving enrollment applications and funding requests, analyzing caseload data, and implementing best practices for serving immigrant and refugee communities. This position is expected to be Hybrid. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location, and will have the opportunity to work from home/virtually.

Your Impact on Career TEAM’s Success:

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a team of Career Advisors working within an integrated service delivery model
  • Develop and implement specialized strategies to better serve immigrant and refugee populations, addressing unique barriers to employment such as language proficiency, credential recognition, and cultural adaptation
  • Assess, manage, and maintain a caseload of new and ongoing participants, tracking their progress in training and job search activities while documenting all interactions through detailed case notes
  • Create tailored service plans for complex cases, guiding Career Advisors in providing holistic and culturally sensitive case management
  • Drive positive employment outcomes and meet contractual performance objectives by providing expert guidance on workforce integration and career pathways
  • Deliver training and coaching on career assessments, employment strategies, and industry-aligned career goal-setting
  • Prepare and present reports on program activities, participant outcomes, and workforce trends
  • Develop and maintain strong partnerships with community organizations, employers, and training providers to expand access to resources and career opportunities for immigrant and refugee job seekers
  • Ensure compliance with WIOA regulations and data tracking requirements, aligning services with grant and funding source initiatives
  • Support staff development through coaching, training sessions, and team-building initiatives
  • Evaluate staff performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance service delivery
  • Collaborate with leadership to strengthen program design, build process efficiencies, and foster an inclusive team culture
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to refine strategies for outreach, engagement, and job placement
  • Contribute to operational success by assisting leadership in program execution, financial sustainability, and performance forecasting
  • Approach daily challenges with a problem-solving mindset to optimize team performance and participant success
  • Other duties and projects as needed

To Qualify for This Role, You Must Have: 

  • Bilingual proficiency (preferred languages include Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian)
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience and knowledge of WIOA and workforce development contracts/programs
  • Knowledge of local community college and private training provider system
  • 2+ years of experience in local WIOA case management and career advising
  • 2+ years of experience creating job readiness workshops for WIOA customers
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience
  • 2+ years of experience working with immigrant and refugee populations and understanding of their unique employment barriers and opportunities
