The Sr. Quality Engineer is responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining quality related processes and strategies. Works with internal customers and suppliers to identify and resolve supplier quality and manufacturing productivity issues. Ensure corrective actions are provided in timely manner and effectively address quality issue.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

Your main focus:

• Support achievement of key metrics, including quality, safety, productivity, cost and employee development, through process change and improvement
• Assist Quality Manager in establishing, implementing, and maintaining Quality Management System
• Develop process related quality procedures, training materials and assist in implementation
• Interact with Site Initiative Leaders, R&D Packaging, Supply Chain Packaging, Engineering and Manufacturing to ensure effective implementation of new products and technologies.
• Works with internal and external customers and/or suppliers to identify and resolve quality related manufacturing and production issues.
• Complete Quality Reports (Executive Summary reports, Process Validation Protocols/Reports, Equipment Validation Protocols/Reports, etc.)
• Root Cause Analysis and Implementation of corrective/preventive actions for nonconformances/process related concerns
• Develop, Implement, and sustain data driven process improvement tools including statistical process control, process mapping, control charts, design of experiments, Lean methodology and process capability studies
• Initiate and develop appropriate SOPs and work instructions with effective training to employees.  Interact and operate within established Document Control system.
• Define and develop process opportunities to reduce costs and to maximize productivity
• Supplier Quality Management: Collect, prepare, and provide accurate data & analysis in support of the supplier nonconformance.
• Tracks status of nonconformances to CAPA closure
• Work with our external Suppliers (Vendors) and create link between operational requirements and material supplier capabilities
• Define key critical parameters and develop plans to control and improve
• Evaluate and improve packaging processes
• Support, participate, and perform internal and external audits.  Document and report findings
• Follow all site GMP policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

The team consists of the Sr. Quality Engineer working closely together with several departments including Production, Safety, and Engineering. 

 

 QUALIFICATIONS

 

We’d love to see candidates who have:

 

Essential:

• 4-year degree in Engineering (preferred) or other Scientific discipline
• ASQ-CQE or CQA certification desired
• 5+ years of experience in a Quality Engineering role or Continuous Improvement role in a cGMP manufacturing environment (cosmetics, FMCG or pharma preferred)

 

Functional/Technical Skills:

• Project management skills to develop project scopes, specifications, schedules, timelines, and deliverables
• Working knowledge of a wide variety of manufacturing processes
