About Houston

 

ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play in our team

 

 As the Procurement Team lead you will lead the day-to-day operations of Contract Managers responsible for Drilling and/or Completions goods and/or services agreements within ExxonMobil’s unconventional O&G business, ensuring business objectives are met and ensuring development, coaching, training, and support of a team of personnel. This position will be located in our Spring TX office. 

What you will do

 

  • Encourage clients to utilize the most cost-effective procurement method for their requirements
  • Review expiring Agreements or new requests prior to assigning to relevant Procurement team members
  • Provide strategic guidance on process improvements to Contracts Leads and Contracts Managers 
  • Coach, mentor and supervise members of the designated Procurement Team; provide assistance and expertise
  • Work effectively with local, regional, and global teams
  • Drive procurement process consistency, efficiency and effectiveness
  • Lead, coach, mentor, control, coordinate and steward the day-to-day operations
  • Create and steward a positive team environment

About you

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree or above in Engineering, Supply Chain, or other applicable business degrees
  • A minimum of 6 years relevant Procurement experience
  • Strong analytical skills: ability to quickly evaluate data, generate insights, and make meaningful decisions
  • Proven knowledge of Requisition to Pay (RtP) process, including ERP systems
  • Demonstrated leadership and operational coaching skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Effective collaborator
  • Team player with the ability to adapt to changing requirements or deadlines
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and deliver results

 

Preferred Qualifications/ Experience

 

  • Masters in business administration (MBA) or Supply Chain
  • A minimum of 6 years' experience in the Oil and Gas or Energy Industry
  • Business and category management acumen
  • Ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency and personal ownership
  • Proven ability to advocate and influence at all levels of the organization
