About the job you’re considering
We are looking for a Data Analyst to support its global Sustainability initiative, aimed at measuring the carbon footprint of products. The analyst will work closely with data engineers, sustainability teams, and business stakeholders to analyze, validate, and visualize data from various sources including SAP, Oracle-based EBOM systems, supplier data, and factory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Understand and interpret data from multiple sources:
• MBOM from SAP (with BOM explosion)
• EBOM from Oracle-based systems
• Supplier emissions and material data
• Factory and operational data (energy, materials, waste)
• Assist in defining carbon footprint metrics and calculations by collaborating with engineering and sustainability teams.
• Conduct data profiling, validation, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Create meaningful dashboards and reports using visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Databricks SQL).
• Translate complex datasets into actionable insights to support sustainability goals.
• Document data definitions, assumptions, and business rules for transparency and repeatability.
• Provide support in testing and validating data models built on Databricks.
Technical Requirements:
• Proficient in SQL, Excel, and at least one BI/visualization tool (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
• Experience working with large datasets and structured data from ERP systems (SAP, Oracle)
• Ability to understand BOM structures, product hierarchies, and supply chain data
• Familiarity with cloud-based platforms like AWS and tools such as Databricks is a plus
• Strong data validation, analytical thinking, and attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in sustainability, carbon footprint analysis, or product lifecycle assessment (LCA)
• Basic understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes
• Exposure to SAP ECC/S4 or Oracle EBOM/PLM systems
• Ability to communicate data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
