Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced International Tax Director to join our Lead Tax Services group. This role will focus on providing international tax compliance and consulting services to our clients, while also playing a critical role in developing and mentoring a high-performing team. The successful candidate will bring deep technical expertise in international tax, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to build trusted client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage international tax engagements, including compliance and consulting projects, for a diverse portfolio of clients
• Advise clients on cross-border transactions, global tax planning, and international compliance matters
• Provide thought leadership on international tax issues and contribute to business development efforts within the Lead Tax Services group
• Supervise, mentor, and develop team members to enhance technical capabilities and leadership potential
• Collaborate with other service lines to deliver comprehensive tax solutions
• Stay current with emerging international tax regulations and communicate their implications to clients and internal teams

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; Master’s degree in Taxation or JD/LLM preferred
• CPA, JD, or equivalent required
• Minimum of 10 years of full time tax experience
• Strong technical expertise in U.S. international tax compliance and consulting
• Public accounting experience required at the Senior Manager or higher level
• Demonstrated success in team leadership, talent development, and managing multiple client relationships
• Experience with IC-DISC and ASC740 preferred
• Proven ability to lead client engagements, drive business development, and deliver results under deadlines
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $155,500.00 - $416,000.00 per year.
