Hinds LifeCare, one of the most well-known and well-respected nonprofit agencies in California’s Central Valley and a pioneer in the practice of hospice and palliative care, is seeking a Chief Clinical Officer to join our team. 

The Chief Clinical Officer (CCO) is responsible for the overall direction of the leadership, strategy, quality, and operational performance of all clinical programs and services provided by Hinds LifeCare.

The CCO provides executive leadership for all care delivery models, including hospice outpatient services, inpatient services, pediatric services, palliative care services, bereavement services, community grief support programs, and future clinical programs developed by the organization.

The CCO oversees clinical operations, quality improvement, patient safety, education, and clinical outcomes, ensuring services align with the organization's mission, strategic priorities, regulatory requirements, and commitment to excellence.

 


Oversees all clinical operations including:


Outpatient Hospice Services
Inpatient Hospice Services
Pediatric Hospice Services
Palliative Care Services
Future Serious Illness Care Programs
Center for Grief & Healing
Bereavement Services
Community Bereavement Programs
Clinical Education and Staff Development


Provides executive leadership for quality, compliance, patient safety, clinical outcomes, education, and care delivery across all service lines.
Serves as executive sponsor for organizational quality improvement initiatives, including CMS quality measures, accreditation readiness, patient experience, and clinical performance improvement.
Oversees the Quality and Education functions and ensures organizational learning, competency validation, professional development, and regulatory training requirements are met.
Develops and maintains a culture of continuous quality improvement, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and operational excellence.
Leads strategic planning and implementation efforts related to hospice, palliative care, pediatric services, bereavement, and future clinical programs.

Qualifications 


Compensation $200,000 - $215,000 annually

Qualifications include but are not limited to:


Bachelors degree in Nursing from an accredited program. Masters degree preferred.
Minimum of five to seven years of progressively responsible healthcare leadership experience, including responsibility for clinical operations, quality, program development, and interdisciplinary team leadership.
Hospice and palliative care leadership experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to apply organizational/management concepts effectively and to establish reasonable goals and objectives.
Demonstrated ability to supervise, evaluate, and coordinate work of others. Demonstrated ability to maintain accountability and to work independently.
Must have a valid drivers license and a willingn
