Underwriting Support Team Specialist

This position serves as an integral member of the Operations team by supporting our Excess and Surplus Underwriting team with operational tasks, with a focus on account data collection and location analysis to assist the underwriting review and approval process.  This individual will be responsible for providing day to day service performing tasks. They will help in growth and profitability of Chubb Custom Solutions by performing functions that were traditionally handled by the E&S Underwriter and tasks related to underwriting functionality. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to underwriting by performing a variety of data collection, file preparation and documentation storage related tasks
• Support a partnership with the Custom Solutions Underwriters to ensure a successful transfer of work and account/location data to the team
• Support basic underwriting tasks by executing workflow procedures to ensure that brokers have a superior service experience
• Provide quality service in accordance with published business unit service level agreements
• Collaborate with both internal and external customers
• Develop positive relationships with Operations staff, agents, underwriting and Personal Risk business partners
• Perform other essential duties and special projects as assigned including but not limited to System Testing, Data Entry, etc.
• Requires the use of following systems:
  • Personal Risk Underwriting Workstation (PLUW) and its related IMS systems
  • Personal Risk Underwriting Notes System (PLUS)
  • Masterpiece (MPRT) processing system and its related IMS systems
  • Other Personal Risk Systems – PLS, @Work, and RiskID

Qualifications:

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently with moderate guidance and supervision
• Demonstrated time management skills: ability to manage multiple priorities with focus on results
• Quality conscious with a strong attention to detail
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate with team members and PRS business partners to achieve positive results
• Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills
• Possess strong team orientation 

Prefer individual knowledgeable/experienced with systems:

• Personal Lines Insurance Experience 
• Masterpiece systems and processes; included but not limited to IMS
• Knowledge and proficiency with RiskID, PLUW, PLUS Notes, and @Work is a plus
• General: SharePoint, Proficient/Intermediate Excel level, Outlook
