Transport Driver - Heavy Haul

Job Overview

Provides equipment and/or parts transport service, loads/unloads and operates equipment as required to ensure prompt, courteous, safe delivery of equipment and parts.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Loads, delivers and unloads equipment and parts as required. Primary responsibility for regional deliveries. Performs transport services in a timely, safe and courteous manner.
• Maintain a current operating knowledge of equipment represented by the company
• Meets DOT regulations, safety standards and certifications needed to operate company vehicles.
• Operate vehicles/equipment safely including daily inspections and accurate logs and general maintenance and cleanliness of assigned vehicle.
• Completes paperwork and records promptly, accurately and legibly
• Has current knowledge of required permits, CDL and DOT regulations, load securing procedures, acts as resource for other local drivers.
• Projects a positive company image by interacting with fellow employees, customers and management in a cooperative, supportive and professional manner. Complies with company policies and dress code.
• Other tasks as assigned to ensure customer satisfaction and efficient branch operations

Qualifications/Requirements

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Class A CDL, with clean driving record required.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• Minimum 2 years of Heavy Equipment Transport and or Flat Bed experience required.
• Winter driving experience required.
• Experience installing chains during hazardous weather required.
