The F135 Sustainment Data Management and Analytics (SDMA) organization supports Sustainment contracts for the F135 engine which powers the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter and has a rare opportunity for a new key leadership position as a Senior Manager, Data Issue Containment as part of the Data Integrity Assurance Team. The Data Integrity Assurance Team is responsible for providing Flight Safety/Airworthiness support by leading robust cross-functional efforts to identify, contain, correct, and reduce future risks of safety-impacting data integrity issues on the F135 program.
In this position you lead a cross-functional team to drive improved data integrity. Collaborative leadership, project management and communication skills are essential to this role. You will work with a variety of subject matter experts from across PW’s F135 team to address data integrity issues. You will also build relationships with the F-35 Joint Program Office (JPO). This position requires effective communication with multiple government customer contacts as well as various functional groups and executive leadership within Pratt & Whitney.
What Will You Do
Team Leadership - Lead cross-functional teams, specifically overseeing and integrating the escape managers, incident management support, and data monitoring and correction teams to identify, bound, contain, correct and communicate data integrity incidents
Incident Investigation – Oversee incident investigations to determine cause of data integrity issues, assign fault tree node, and collaborate with other Data Integrity Assurance Team members to assess/re-assess requirements for new corrective actions and effectiveness of implemented corrective actions
Population bounding – Lead efforts to evaluation the fleet population for similar issues (read across execution)
Time-phased Planning – Develop, execute and communicate sustainable prioritized and time-phased plans for monitoring and timely correction of identified data disconnects
Commitment to Quality – Maintain robust tracking of identified data disconnects and drive necessary corrections to data in fleet (external) and P&W (internal) systems as required based on findings. Enforce data integrity across the enterprise within the context of Product Safety & Quality while embodying careful attention to detail
Stakeholder Communication - Provide timely and effective written and verbal briefs/communications to both internal and external stakeholders pertaining to identified data integrity escapes and issues. Communicate performance of key tasks through the development and maintenance of dashboards, metrics and burndown status vs. plans
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor’s Degree
10 years of engineering, business/project management, operations management, or supply chain / logistics experience Or An advanced degree with 7 years of engineering, business/project management, operations management, or supply chain / logistics experience
Proficient with Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel
Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship
Qualifications We Prefer
Master’s degree in Engineering, Business or Management discipline
1+ years of experience with P&W Military Engines functional organization structure
