The F135 HMC Quality team is seeking a highly talented and motivated Quality Engineer to join our team.  The F135 HMC performs Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul of the F135 Engine in a public / private partnership with the US Air Force. 

What You Will Do:

  • The selected candidate must be able to work closely with Quality Inspectors, Process & Methods Engineers, Operations Team to support MRO Operations.
  • Demonstrate a high level of customer focus, business judgment and teamwork.
  • Demonstrated ability to interface and lead cross functional teams.
  • Communicate with various levels of management, business partners and supply base.
  • Collect and analyze data to minimize workflow disruptions and eliminate nonconformances/escapes.
  • Lead the investigation of quality related work stops and turn-backs using Quality Improvement tools such as Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), Process Analysis, and facilitate investigations, while preventing future recurrence.
  • Manage escapes and investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions while preventing future recurrence.
  • Perform First Article Inspections.
  • Lead Quality System, process, and product audits.
  • Assist 3rd Party Audits as required.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to increase organizational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Generate and modify applicable Quality System documentation to ensure processes and requirements are clearly defined.

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline or business field or equivalent experience and 2 years of Quality Assurance and/or related experience.
  • This is an onsite position working at our Midwest City, Oklahoma location.
  • Ability to obtain a US Government security clearance.
  • Travel up to 10%.
  • MS Office proficiency: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality systems.
  • Knowledge, proficiency in quality tools such as PFMEA, DFMEA, GR&R, GD&T elements, etc.
  • Practical CORE/Six Sigma experience or Lean Systems experience a plus.
  • Experience in ERP systems such as SAP and Solumina
  • High energy, dynamic individual who strives for continuous im.ovement.
  • Highly motivated and a self-starter with a strong desire to succeed and pursue continued growth and developmental opportunities.
  • Results focused work ethics to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Jet Engine Manufacturing/Assembly/Overhaul experience.
