What You Will Do
The Hot Section Engineering team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced engineer to join its team as a Senior Project Engineer for F135 Nozzle and 3BSM Module. The Sr. Project Engineer will be responsible for part-level ownership on a Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT) and will plan and execute assigned tasks to ensure the IPT achieves overall component goals. This role will include direct interfacing opportunities with engineering management, program management, suppliers and government customers. The selected candidate will work with a diverse team of individuals to meet requirements and achieve goals. The Sr. Project Engineer will be technically proficient, communicate effectively, and be customer-focused to meet the bold demands of this Military engine program
- Accountable to CIPT for part-level planning and execution, including communication, risk management and execution to program requirements
- Provide support and leadership to F135 External Section & Actuation IPT
- Plan, propose and execute development, production and sustainment improvement tasks
- Interface directly with a wide team spanning all portions of the F135 program
- Communicate with the F135 leadership and government contract on a weekly basis
- Travel up to 10%.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
- 5 years of experience in engineering with a bachelor’s degree and 3 with an advanced degree
- Must be a U.S. Citizen. Only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Proficiency in use of program/project management tools (e.g. Systems Applications and Products (SAP), Earned Value Management System (EVMS), Teamcenter, Smartsheet, Jira).
- CAM Training
- Demonstrated success in leading multi-functional teams.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in working across functions, organizations and management.
- Focus on results with the ability to drive projects to successful completion.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills,
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, technical writing and engineering presentations to all levels of engineering and program management.
- Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance.
- Experience with nozzle or exhaust design and development.

Hot Section Engineering (HSE)
Hot Section Engineering is responsible for the design, development, technology maturation and in service support of all diffuser cases, combustors, turbines (vanes, blades, rotors and cases), augmenters (military), nozzles and associated fuel systems for all military, commercial and industrial engine models and radial auxiliary power units.
Technical disciplines in HSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, Durability and Product Definition.
