Job Summary
We are looking for and Accounting Expert who will support our Tetra Pak employees for the Travel and Expenses process, you will provide accurate information for financial reporting and have good understanding of processes within own area of responsibility. Works independently within established procedures and practices.
This position is based at our Tetra Pak office in Panama City.
Tetra Pak is not sponsoring work visas or relocation for this position.
What you will do
- Review employee expense reports with receipts and cash advances according to internal policies and procedures
- Follow up unreported expenses paid with corporate cards (send periodical reminders to employees)
- First line of support to employees
- Posting and reconciliation of corporate cards statements of accounts
- Various reports analysis to comply with Best Practices and Internal Controls.
- Providing management reporting and audit support specific to the employees T&E transactions.
- Reconcile accounts, post journal entries, and maintain a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with accounting principles and reporting schedules.
- Provide technical accounting advice within area of expertise to functional or operational areas managers
- Drive process improvements and functional KPIs/metrics
- Independently take discussions about standard issues with external/internal stakeholders
We believe you have

Bachelor’s degree or currently studying accounting, Finance or Administration.

Accounting knowledge and relevant experience, minimum 1 year.

Good computer skills (MS Office).

Previous experience in developing and executing automation processes for cross function tasks

Fluent in English (both written and verbal). Portuguese is a plus.

As a person you are a good communicator, people oriented, accurate, analytical, result focused and organized

Ideally you should have work experience in an international accounting department.
