WinnCompanies is searching for a summer Accounting Intern to join our team in our Lowell Regional Office.
The Financial Accountant Intern will primarily collaborate with the members of the team managed by the VP of Financial Accounting on a variety of recurring and one-time accounting and financial projects. These projects directly contribute to the information necessary for daily cash management and accurate reporting to internal and external parties. The day to day projects that this team member will work on include reconciling bank statements to the general ledger, creating and posting journal entries to the general ledger, and communicating with owners, upper management, the treasury team, and other internal and external parties to transfer funds and process loans.
Please note that this position offers a pay rate of $25.00 per hour. The selected candidate will adhere to the following schedule: Monday through Friday, from 8:00AM to 5:00PM. This is a summer internship with the targeted start date in late May 2025/early June 2025 through 3 months.

Responsibilities
- Reconcile bank statements to the general ledger.
- Create and post journal entries to the general ledger.
- Collaborate with owners, upper management, treasury, and other internal and external parties for cash transfers.
- Initiate loans, loan repayments, and the creation and execution of promissory notes.
- Assist in the creation of work papers as part of the audited financial statement process, profit center projects, personal financial statements.
- Assist and provide support in special projects.
Requirements
- Candidate should be a rising senior currently enrolled in a four-year Business Administration, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or Operations Management program.
- Ability to work well independently with guided support from manager.
- Positive and open-minded attitude.
- Proficiency in computer skills, particularly Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work remotely and stay on task.
- Ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment.
- Ability juggle multiple priorities with superior attention to detail.

- Previous internship/office experience.
