Role Summary
The Sheet metal team is now searching for a sourcing manager within the pressed part segment.
As a commodity buyer within this segment, you are responsible for your suppliers and connected parts in the running production where you plan, implement and manage the strategy for our business and your suppliers to achieve set goals. As a strategic sourcing manager, focus is on cost and delivery, but also quality, technology and sustainability. In your daily work, you will work closely with the suppliers and R&D with both commercial and technical analysis of your business area. The duties vary and you are expected to handle quick solutions to urgent problems as long-term strategic decisions. As a commodity purchaser, you will also lead and develop the strategy and collaboration for a 3-ring, which consists of colleagues from the groups within the project and quality.
The workplace is in Södertälje with an expectation of working in the office most of the time. The possibility of flexible work is also available, either from home or from our office in central Stockholm for a certain part of the time. We all work according to Scania's values and you share them.
Who You Are
We are looking for a commercially experienced and business-driven individual with a background in purchasing or similar roles. You are positive, team-oriented, analytical, structured, and solution-focused, thriving in a dynamic environment. Strong communication skills, integrity, and the ability to build networks are essential. You take responsibility for your commitments, ensuring quality and timely delivery while being open to stepping beyond your role for long-term results.
A proactive mindset towards new and existing working methods is valued. You hold a degree in engineering or business administration (or equivalent experience) and are fluent in English; Swedish is a plus. Occasional travel and a B driver’s license are required.
