SUMMARY:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for delivering the organizational five-year plan for nursing care.  

  • Supervise Regional Nurse Managers and direct reports and assess the delivery of quality care within our client sites. 

  • Ensure nursing associates provide care that aligns with the governing state guidelines and USA Medical & Psychological Staffing organizational Scope of Practice.   

  • Interview and hire associates, ensuring equal employment opportunity in hiring and promotion. 

  • Coordination of care and practices, set priorities, and direct the work of Regional Nurse Managers. 

  • Implement, oversee, and communicate staffing plans. 

  • Review and ensure completion of CQI, peer reviews, evaluations, site visit scoreboards, and LMS metrics.  

  • Design solutions for corrective actions to adhere to client contracts, manage budgets, and address over-under reports to ensure contractual compliance.    

  • Deliver operational best practices, support onboarding of new clients, and oversee special projects. 

  • Provide supervision and coaching of direct reports. 

  • Guide and assist the talent acquisition team to select qualified associates. 

  • Evaluate and verify associate performance through review of completed work assignments and quarterly coaching. 

  • Identify learning needs to ensure coaching and training is provided for new hires, associates, and potential leaders. 

  • Serves as liaison between headquarters team, clients, and staff. 

  • Acquire and maintain professional licensure. 

  • Remain available for 24/7 operational calls including nights, weekends, and holidays. 

  • Demonstrate commitment and dedication to providing clinical support and guidance in the development and deployment of initiatives designed to solve problems and make lives easier.  

  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date strategic planning manual with continuity BUS plan and goals. 

  • Perform all other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: 

  • Registered Nurse licensure required in the state(s) where services are to be provided 

  • Associate's Degree of Nursing (ASN) required 

  • Bachelor’s Degree of Nursing (BSN) preferred 

  • 3+ years of healthcare management experience required 

  • Corrections, ER, public health or related experience preferred. 

  • NCCHC Board Certification required within 1 year of employment. 

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; hands-on-training required

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
